PANAMA LEGAL SERVICES
When seeking for competent legal counsel in Panama,
you're not only considering whether the attorney can form a corporation
or help you open an account. That's basic. Think beyond
formation. Focus on the character and sentiment of the law firm;
however, this is not a rationalization to spend more than necessary.
There are many law firms in Panama that offer the
formation of many Panamanian Corporations. And there are others
who know that tax evasion is occurring, and yet, look the other way-- and
set up many of these companies and accounts. Several banks in
Panama are also aware of this and form them anyway. Perhaps you
should exercise caution about using such a law firm, or bank, that's
ambitious in selling as many of these entities, or offering accounts, as
possible. It is these legal counselors, their clients, and the
banks that serve them that may find themselves under increased scrutiny in
the future. Pressure may someday heighten upon those banks to
increase scrutiny, or even close accounts, for those who are associated
with groups facilitating tax evasion in the most obvious manner.
Consider a small law firm in Panama so you're not
bundled with a large number of other investors who used the same bank,
or the same law firm. We found a conservative, low-key Panamanian
law firm that is most professional in defending their clients'
interests. This particular law firm prefers conservative clients and function
effectively with like-minded financial institutions.
One thing
you may also notice about the other websites of practitioners in Panama,
most of them don't offer real information. It's usually their
picture and it's "look at me." Ego is the big thing in Latin
America. It's a cultural thing. Some of them post their
resume as their website. It's just the way business is done.
If you're a business person considering the investment of assets into
Panama, or holding assets there in some form, I suggest you contact Mr.
Robert Guardia at the law firm of Orillac, Carles & Guardia. They
only work with legitimate clients. Their fees are reasonable and
they are very responsive to client needs. This is simply a
recommendation based upon experience. Fees are reasonable and they
will only charge you for what's needed. They'll pick you up at the
airport and walk you into a business center at the airport. There
you grab a tea or coffee, and relax for a few minutes. An
assistant answers some questions, gets your luggage and waits until you
clear customs. You then check into your hotel and go
directly to the law office to meet Mr. Guardia. At that point,
you're introduced to the company you purchased and do a needs assessment
(merchant services, banking, etc.). Everything is done first class
and you're made to feel like the most important client he has.
